And that more or less concludes my online life. Amazing how much we put out on the web about ourselves...
Some Online service and Apps I can't live without
Mozy - For all my backup needs. It is awesome, I have about 160GB of data backed up on Mozy at the time of writing this.
So, if all my other backups fail or my house burns down or I get burgled and all my computers stolen, I can just login
to Mozy and download my entire live again! It is so worth the $5 per month for unlimited backup space.
Localphone - A real gem I discovered some time ago. Have you ever been on an international trip just to get home to a
cell phone bill that you need to sell your house to pay? Well, look no further! Localphone is your answer. Just subscribe to localphone, follow the prompts and the process, and then, the secret is: Before leaving your home country,
record a voicemail with your temporary number. As soon as you land on the other side, get a pay as you go / prepaid SIM card, stick it in your phone, get the number and link it in your localphone account. When you need to phone
back home, just dial the local access number and you will get charged at local rates. You can even setup contacts on localphone and they will each get a unique number for the country you are in. If you go to France, just update
your location on localphone and it will generate local French numbers for your contacts. Next trip to Australia? Update localphone and it generates Aus numbers for your contacts. An the cost? Free. Yes, you just pay for the airtime
you use. I can't live without it!
